Albergueria  -  Xunqueira de Ambia

21km + 600m  height difference = 27 km          6h plus 2 stops of 1h each


Got out very late! 8 o'clock! What a night! What the French call "La Tourista" attacked me at half past two in the morning! And then again at at half past three! The first was desastrous and meant some immediate washing and a lot more before I got on to the Camino; the second one I caught just in time since by then I slept very lightly. And when at 6 o'clock a first fellow pilgrim (of a total of eight) locked himself into one of the two bathrooms, blocking it for a good while, I hurried into the other one just in case. After that the Immodium I had taken in the middle of the night had an effect at last - no more problem until my arrival at 4pm at the casa rural which I had booked this morning - no question of spending a night in an albergue under these circumstances!

Had breakfast in the bar - real coffee, bread and butter, and left. Did I tell you that I too signed a shell to be fixed somewhere in the bar or in the albergue - I challenge anybody to find it.

Apart from the horrible start, the day was wonderful! Very fresh in the morning, but not too much so. Beautiful sunshine all day, but not too hot. Only one very long boring stretch of straight track; the rest was varied, sometimes very steep up or down, very difficult to do, but I had all day - I had a reservation at a casa rural and the weather was cool, so there was no need to hurry.

I had a first stop in a bar in Vilar de Barrio which finished an hour later - I took advantage of the wifi  -  Andrea and Alison had problems resolving the question of accomodation during our walk together - still not resolved - so I could look at google maps to see where certain places were situated in relationship to the Camino - the girls did not have the Camino on the google maps - someone should complain to Google!

Continued walking for another two hours and stopped to have my lunch and my siesta in the heather - another hour!

More varied tracks, paths, a lot through forests, nicely shaded or the other extreme - steep rocky climbs or steep rocky descents( sounds strange) - difficult but manageable and in beautiful landscape - people working in their gardens or around the house - always friendly Hola! Boa viaje! Buen Camino!

Am sitting in a bar finishing my meal. Back to my casa rural which is like a palace, take up my washing and to bed.......

Albergueria - Xunqueira de Ambia

21 km + 600m différence de hauteur = 27 km 6h plus 2 arrêts de 1h chacun

Je suis sortie très tard! 8 heures! Quelle nuit! Ce que les Français appellent "La tourista" m'a attaqué à deux heures et demie du matin! Et puis de nouveau à trois heures et demie! La première fois a été désastreuse et a nécessité un lavage immédiat et beaucoup d'autres avant que je ne partes sur le Camino; Pour la deuxième "attaque" je m'y suis prise juste à temps et ensuite j'ai dormi d'un sommeil léger. Et quand, à 06 heures un premier compagnon de route (sur un total de huit) s'était enfermé dans une des deux salles de bains, la  bloquant pendant un bon moment, je me précipitais dans l'autre juste au cas où. Après que l'Immodium je avais pris dans le milieu de la nuit ait fait son un effet je n'ai plus eu de problème jusqu'à  mon arrivée à 16 heures à la casa rural dans laquelle j'avais  fait une réservation ce matin - pas question de passer une nuit dans une auberge dans ces circonstances !

Ai pris le petit déjeuner dans le bar - du vrai café, le pain et le beurre, et je suis partie. Vous ai je dit que moi aussi j'ai signé une coquille qui sera accrochée quelquepart dans le bar ou dans l'auberge - Je mets au défi quiconque de la trouver.

Mis à part un début horrible, la journée a été merveilleuse! Très frais le matin, mais pas trop. Beau soleil toute la journée, mais pas trop chaud. Seul un tronçon d'une  très longue et ennuyeuse piste toute droite; le reste était varié, parfois très raide en montant ou en descendant, un parcours très difficile à faire, mais j'avais toute la journée devant moi - j'avais une réservation dans un casa rural et le temps était frais, donc il n'y avait pas besoin de se presser.

Je ai fait un premier arrêt dans un bar à Vilar de Barrio, et suis repartie une heure plus tard - j'ai profité du wifi - Andrea et Alison ont eu des problèmes à résoudre la question du logement au cours de notre périple commun- toujours pas résolu - pour que je puisse regarder google maps afin de voir où se situaient certains endroits  par rapport au  Camino - les filles ne sont pas le Camino sur les cartes Google - quelqu'un doit se plaindre à Google!

Ai continué à marcher pendant deux heures, et me suis arrêtée pour prendre mon déjeuner et faire la sieste dans la bruyère - durant  une autre heure!

Pistes plus variées, des chemins, beaucoup d'entre eux  à travers les forêts, bien ombragées ou pas du tout - montées ou descentes escarpées, rocheuses abruptes (cela semble étrange) - difficiles mais gérables et avec de beaux paysages - des gens qui travaillaient dans leur jardin ou autour de la maison - toujours très amicaux : Hola! Boa viaje! Buen Camino!

Suis assise dans un bar et je finis mon repas. Retour à ma casa rural qui est comme un palais, je vais étendre ma lessive et au lit .....
